Distance drivers (12 to 15 speed) have the lowest profile and sharpest edges and typically the widest rims. Their low profile and sharp edges makes them the most aerodynamic allowing them to fly at the highest speeds. The high speed makes distance drivers harder to control than Drivers, Fairway Drivers or Mid-ranges but do offer the opportunity of more distance. If not thrown with the right angle of release and with the proper speed they may Fade Out early in the flight and not go as far as a slower model. It is generally recommended that you match the speed of these discs with your experience level, beginners starting with the lowest speeds and so on.
